from my knowledge. the 2jz is a really big motor. it wont fit the engine bay unless its custom. and its a RWD. 3k is pretty much the engine alone. ur looking at 5k-up for all the custom brackets and fabrication. 3k to get it tune correctly. and 1k for custom wirings. but hell if he can do it all for 3k. DO IT!!! lol.

The 2jz swap is not a direct swap, but in my opinion a VERY worthwhile investment, no custom mounting points need to be created but you need custom brackets to do the JZ to MA mount conversion, only a small amount of cutting and a bit more banging is required to make clearance. #1 · Nov 18, 2002 I was talking with my friend who has a keyway blown 5MGE Mk2. We were talking about building a nice modded 6MGE for the car, keeping it N/A. Then it dawned on me, I've seen lots of 2JZ-GE motors in the JDM places with trannys for really cheap. I'm sure we could get a cheap-o GE harnass from someone whos done a GTE swap.
